Chapter 14 of the McGraw Hill Handbook discussed using sources for papers and how to manage them. Similar to the discussion we had in Dirac library, it went over parameters you can/should set for conducting research and finding reliable, relevant sources. Such tips include narrowing the search to specific keywords, using boolean operators, and analyzing the usability of a source by reading the abstract. This chapter was essentially a review of everything we went over in Dirac and acts as a great chapter for anyone who “missed” class that day. Some other information that was useful was the addition of printed documents and tips on how to regulate their use.
